A Little Resistance
It is one of those days...you are tired and you feel like throwing your plans right out the window. I feel you!
I have been there so, so many times. I have made plans I wanted to carry out, like going to the gym or for a walk, or cleaning the house or being consistent with something.
But the day comes when I haven´ t slept well, or I had a busy day at work, or (insert excuse here)...something can always come up, always.
That is just the nature of life. Something is always gonna happen when you want to stick with something. It´ s like the Murphy´ s law.
It used to frustrate me a lot. I thought I was inconsistent, lazy, unreliable.
Those are hard emotions to feel towards yourself. Perhaps, it is not about expecting nothing to happen, but expecting that anything can happen and still, you will do what you set out to do.
Honestly, excuses abound, will abound, and it is up to you, despite any and every excuse, to still follow your plan, even if it´ s just a little bit of it.
Are those voices in your head telling you to quit? that´ s ok! resistance is natural. It is a natural thing to feel. However, resistance is also the sign that you should do it.
Expect resistance, expect excuses, yet meet your goals. Then, celebrate a little victory.
Make it a habit. Remember, practice makes perfect.
