So, there are many options outthere, I know, but before buying a gym membership, have you asked yourself, what is your ideal gym?

Is it a big one, a small one? Is it a crowded one? Is a dance studio, yoga center...crossfit team...the list does go on!, there are many options, which is good and sometimes a bit overwhelming, if you ask me.

First things first, you decided you wanna go to the gym, why? do you want to get in shape, go back to shape (after life happened), just to move your body? Perhaps reflecting a bit on the purpose of you wanting to go to a gym might help you choose the best option for you, and in turn, take the most out of that experience.

For example, I would love to go back to martial arts practice, therefore, I would be looking into martial arts gyms nearby where I live...which is in the mountains, so not much to choose from!

Regardless, I would find the closest one to my location, and even if I feel lazy, just go to check the gym in person. This I recommend so you can have a true idea of how you would feel in such environment, to get to know the owner (if it is a small business) or instructors and people frequenting such space. To see if you like the size of the gym, the bathrooms...the atmosphere. It is a whole experience and if you are going to be sweating and crunching and making funny noises, you better feel fully comfortable within those walls.

After checking the space, you can ask if they have a free class/training available before deciding to get a membership. That way, you can actually train and feel the full experience and know if you would like to do that often...or at least a couple of times per week!

If you decided which gym and got the free class, and now you are ready to get a membership...then, congrats! the first step is always the hardest, and there are gonna be days where you really won´ ´t feel like lifting a 2 pound weight or you will just use the treadmill and walk your way into the weekend, and guess what? that is perfectly ok, life happens, cheese happens...all the time! But making that first commitment is a step towards a better health.

Don´´ t be so hard on yourself, give ourself a pad on the back for, at least, thinking into getting in better shape, and then, go grab a beer! Just kidding...it can be a non-alcoholic beer though : )

Remember, make a little research before choosing the right gym for you, you are unique, so you need a place where you can actually thrive, because your health is truly worth it.

Ps: You can consider yourself a gym rat after one full week of training!...ok, no, but it sounds nice.

Also, on a last note, you can sign up now and get a 50% discount on our gym membership. Just pleaseee, don´ t take too long, we have limited subscriptions ;)

What are you waiting for to get on the gym life?
